Well, it looks very odd doesn't it? This was our Father's Day lunch that Libbie and Stuart cooked yesterday. We had a great day and picked Stu's mom and dad up at about half past ten. Lunch was a 'fishy' one! Stu bbq'd asparagus for starters followed by monkfish and ciabatta kebabs.Mmmm, yummy. Then the 'piece de resistance' was the whole salmon wrapped in herbs and then cooked in wet newspaper. Apparently a Jamie Oliver way of doing things! It was delicious and Libbie served it with baby potatoes, salad and lots of dips and sauces. After some time to recover we had home cooked (none of your 'shop bought' in this house!) rhubarb crumble and ice cream. And all accompanied by champagne and wine. Defnitely a Father's Day to remember for the dad's (and moms!)....and this is what it looked like when it was cooked!Even the weather was on our side and the sun shone all day long.
It looks like it's going to be another lovely sunny day here so I think I'm off into the garden to enjoy 'the fruits of my labours'.
