Less is More - Red and Orange

Driving back along the motorway from Leicestershire this afternoon I was amazed at the colours of the trees - fantastic reds, oranges, yellows, greens and browns. I'd been with Libbie to have the alterations fitting for her beautiful wedding dress so was probably in a bit of a romantic mood anyway! Then when I got home and checked with the Less is More challenge blog I couldn't believe that this week's challenge was Red and Orange
I knew I had this rainbow card somewhere and after a frenzied search found it - just perfect.I'm not confident enough with stamping to have actually done this background with inks. I die cut the flower heads in black and they reminded me of sparklers which led me to my little bit of bling - 3 tiny black pearls. Base card is a 5inch square white pearl card which I bought at the NEC yesterday. I had a wonderful 6 hours there and bought loads of things - none of which I NEEDED but I wanted!!! The second card I made was actually my first idea (with a tree) but then when I checked the entries, Birgit had already done one with a twiggy tree (which is far better than my effort) so I didn't want to copy her idea. But I'll put the photo on so you can see it.
I die cut two trees, one in silver and one in black and mounted one on top of the other to give a shadow effect.
The sentiment was printed on the computer for both cards. Thanks for all the lovely comments last week. Sorry I didn't get round to many blogs but I've had a hectic week and not been in for a single day. Let's hope that this week is quieter - though with the wedding getting closer I doubt it will be!
