Less is more ~ Spring

.......And this week the theme is Spring. Which obviously makes me think of flowers! I love to see the tiny crocus heads and snowdrops peeking through the cold soil ~ makes me think that at last winter could be over and a new year beginning. Hence the sentiment on my card.
The flowers are a digi image, a sentiment is one I made and then put both together in Publisher. Then I coloured very lightly with Promarkers. As I said in an earlier post, I find this programme easy to use simply because I used to use it so often when I was working at school.I used a 5 inch square lemony coloured base card and added some tiny gems to highlight the main flower and as an embellishment to the side of the sentiment.
Not a brilliant photo but the light today is terrible ~ it's a dismal, damp sort of day~ just the sort of day to stay in crafting! Now I'm going to have a play at doing sentiments in Word following Chrissie's tutorial.

It's great that you have joined us yet again Diane.
I think this my be a Pink Petticoat image, but can't be too sure. I've never tried a card with Kraft cardstock, I think they look really attractive!
Have a good weekend and see you next week!

Such delicate and pretty flowers! Could be Pink Petticoat? I really like the sentiment you put together in Publisher. Super card.

This is a lovely card and I think your subtle colouring is gorgeous.

Don't know about it being a digi image . . . if so, someone's ripping off PENNY BLACK as I own a wooden PB stamp called "Daydreams" 3497K that is IDENTICAL to your image!

Hello Di, this is a very pretty card - I've seen this image before (but also can't remember where) and really liked it, your colours are really gentle. I used Publisher in the workplace for years too and turned to it again this week, instead of the other graphics programme I have, to make my CAS card. I peeked at your other posts and liked your inchie cards and the ones with 9 squares too. Elizabeth x
